Cornhole as a Fundraiser
Seven simple reasons it's better than a golf outing.
- Cornhole is fun and anyone can play from eight to eighty. Golf is fun but not nearly as easy to play.
- Cornhole is easy to set up anywhere - inside / outside - it can be played year around - on the beach, in the grass, on a basketball court. Golf can't be played anywhere but on a golf course.
- Cornhole is cheap to set up and start playing - all you need are some boards, bags and someone to play with. Golf can be expensive both greens fees and equipment. The money saved by not having to rent a course goes straight to the bottom line for the charity or cause.
- Cornhole is social, large crowds gather and play together. Golf you go off in your foursome and you see nobody else until you return 5 hours later
- A cornhole outing provides much more exposure for sponsors than a golf outing. This makes it easier to bring in sponsorship revenue.
- A cornhole outing provides a better platform for a silent auction or live auction should you choose to add one to the event.
- A cornhole outing provides a much larger opportunity for player participation than a golf outing.
I'm certain I've missed a few reasons why a cornhole outing is a better fundraising opportunity than a golf outing but these seven points are good enough to make my case.
So if you're looking for something a little different than the same old golf outing to raise money for your charity, I suggest you get out there and start "Pitching for Your Cause".
Game ON!

I went to the Carson Palmer Cornhole Classic. It was a lot more fun than any golf outing. We were part of their game. Hanging out with the Bengal players and all ages were playing. I think you are onto something.

We had a cornhole tournament to raise funds for our softball organization. We raised enough money for a couple tournaments plus we introduced some people, who have never played, to the game of cornhole. I'd surely bet that we would have more participants the next time we play. We had a blast!
